Volunteers
Volunteers are a foundation for The Inn’s programs. Volunteers provide mentoring for youth in Foster Care, supporting youth in the community by acknowledging their successes and working through their concerns. A volunteer may assist a youth transitioning into their first apartment and teach living skills and work in a variety of other activities. Opportunities may range from one hour a month to several hours per week.
A small amount of attention makes a world of difference for many of the youth and adults served by The Inn by showing them their value in the community. The process for volunteering depends upon your interests. The first step is to call for submit and application. Volunteers require a thorough interview and screening process that will include reference and a criminal history background check. Orientation and training are provided that are appropriate to the volunteer position.
Undergraduates and Graduate Student Internship
The Inn provides a variety of opportunities for student internships. Students generally work in case management type positions assisting youth in the community. Administrative track students may work with Program Directors in areas or program management, program development and community relations.
